I've had Brides tell me again and again, that they were surprised at how much more I did than just play music! I am your guide at the wedding and/or reception. My job is to care of the details, keep the event progressing smoothly and make sure you are able to relax and enjoy your special day.
From coordinating with the kitchen about when the food will be ready, to making sure everyone has champagne for the toast ahead of time. The list goes on. Four to six weeks before the big day, I will get together with you to review music selections, talk about such things as:
- How do you want to be introduced?
- What song would be appropriate?
- Do you want the wedding party introduced, and how?
- Who's doing the toast?
- Should I politely not allow uncle Bill (who drinks to much) to have the microphone?
During this 1-1/2 hour or so meeting (which is include in the quote I give you), I learn a tremendous amount of information about you, your personalities, and the sequence of events that you want. You will feel a lot more comfortable on the day of your wedding, because you will already know me instead of having to deal with some stranger. What you don’t need on your Wedding Day is a “bad Blind Date” with your Dj, the main person running the evening!
By the way, one of the top 3 complaints about wedding DJ's is "not being able to understand announcements". I've had professional microphone training, and have a radio announcer's voice that comes across well.
When it comes to music, I have around 15,000 songs ranging from 1940's to classic rock, and even the latest hip hop. We will talk about the music you want for the open dancing, plus I make it a point to pay attention to what the crowd responds to and take requests.
Each event has an energy that can be enhance by a good DJ. Once you've been to wedding that had sagging energy and ended early, you'll realize that DJ'ing and Emceeing a wedding is definitely an art!

When I give a refresher course on electric slide and lead the dance, more people jump on the dance floor.
